From 4 January, 2 revised frameworks will replace the current EYFS framework. Providers are responsible for ensuring that they follow the current version of the framework for their provider type.

• Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
  • The 2 new frameworks are:
    • EYFS statutory framework for childminders
    • EYFS statutory framework for group and school-based providers

• Early years qualification requirements and standards
  • The requirements in this document come into force on 4 January 2024 and are in response to the Early years foundation stage (EYFS): regulatory changes consultation.
  • The qualifications that staff must hold to be included in the specified staff:child ratios at levels 2, 3 and 6 of the early years foundation stage (EYFS).
