Schools have a duty to provide remote education for state-funded, school-age children whose attendance would be contrary to government guidance or law around coronavirus (Covid-19).
Solihull Council schools and colleges have been working hard to implement remote education effectively. The government’s expectations for remote education are the same for all schools, yet we know that every school community and every family within them is having to manage those expectations in a different way. This is a very challenging time for all concerned. All schools want to strike a balance between providing high quality remote learning and supporting families.
