Content: Members from other support agencies will provide an overview of the role of their team and the support they offer for children/settings. We will hear from Hannah Phelan from Occupational Therapy, Sarah Brunson from SALT, Alison Keen from LAC Virtual School and Julie Pearce from the Complex Medical Team.

The Impact of Premature Birth & SEND Updates

Content: Pinki Surana, a neonatal consultant will talk about the short and long term impact of premature birth and signpost audience members to support and strategies available. The Early Year Team will also share any recent national/local SEND updates.

The Role of ‘Setting Support’

Working with parents

Content: Members of the Early Years Team will share how to manage difficult conversations and use ‘solution focussed’ approaches. Audience members will be made aware of what parent support is available in Solihull and signposted to other relevant resources.

Transition Event – North Solihull

Where: Smith’s Wood Primary Academy – Nursery. Burtons Way, Smiths Wood B36 0SZ

Audience: Setting SENCOs, Setting Managers.

Content: Following the success of these previous events we will again be providing an opportunity for childminders, Nurseries and School staff to meet and talk about children transitioning to and from their settings. Local Health Visitors and members of the Early Years Team will also be available at this event.
