Safeguarding Training for Early Years and Childcare

Training Dates:

  • Autumn 2026: Wednesday 18th November 2026
  • Spring 2027: Wednesday 24th February 2027

Time: 6:30-8:30pm  Where: Civic Suite

Cost: £31.00

Target Audience: All practitioners who are new to safeguarding or who require a short refresher session, including apprentices, room leaders, key person, kitchen staff, and cover staff. [Childminders, you may prefer to book onto our Childminder DSL Safeguarding Training]

Course Content:

This 2 hour training session will introduce candidates to the basics of the EYFS Statutory Framework requirements of Annex C [Parts 1&2] including the safeguarding and child protection requirements for the childcare registers

Important Note: Due to the condensed nature of this session, some topics may require additional reading, reflection, or follow-up actions with the setting after the course to ensure full understanding and compliance.

Nothing is more important than children’s welfare. Every child deserves to grow up in a
safe, stable, and loving home. Children who need help and protection deserve high quality
and effective support. This requires individuals, agencies, and organisations to be clear
about their own and each other’s roles and responsibilities, and how they work together.
