PLEASE READ – Course Content:
This 3-hour training session* is designed to support childminders in understanding and meeting the safeguarding training requirements outlined in Annex C [Section 3] of the EYFS Statutory Framework. The session will equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical guidance needed to foster a strong safeguarding culture within their setting.
In light of the Department for Education’s new safeguarding training, we recommend that all childminders complete it before attending our Childminder DSL Training, particularly if you are new to childminding. Our Childminder DSL Training is for those with existing safeguarding knowledge and focuses on the DSL role in line with EYFS and Annex C requirements. We are also reviewing our safeguarding training offer in light of these developments. For more information, see our article: New DfE Safeguarding Guidance and FREE Training for Early Years Providers – news
*Important Note: Due to the condensed nature of this session, some topics may require additional reading, reflection, or follow-up actions after the course to ensure full understanding and compliance.
