This is the covering letter, agenda and templates for the autumn term adviser visits.
As you may be aware, the school improvement team within the local authority have undergone a management of change process. Please see below for news about the school adviser support.
We are putting on an event at Sans Souci (10am - 4.30pm) on the day the key stage two results are released by DfE; by this date all other end of key stage data should also be available. We invite headteachers to bring their data and use some or all of the day to analyse their results and identify key priorities for the following year.
The data team and the school advisers will be on hand to work with you to help you make sense of your data and start to make comparisons with the provisional national picture. Members of EIMS will also be available to talk you through how you can analysis your data using SIMS. You should go away with a clear analysis of your schools data for 2018. You can attend with another member of your SLT and can work independently or as groups with the support you need on hand in the room. More information will follow.
To help us with numbers, if you intend to come along on the day please could you let us know by email to: inset@solihull.gov.uk
Contacts: Clair McNeill (SEIS) & Kate Sirrett (EIMS)
The Health and Safety Executive has issued a safety alert regarding platform lifts (vertical lifting platforms or lifts for people with impaired mobility) identifying a risk of falls from height to employees/workers and members of the public.
If your school has this type of equipment, please take the time to read the alert to consider any implications and take the appropriate action necessary as outlined in the attached communication.
Please ensure this information is communicated to relevant staff in school.
A new date has been arranged for Safer Recruitment Training on 21st May, 9.30am - 4.00pm at The Loft in Chelmsley Wood. Please see attached flier for full details.
