Department for Education Early Years Provider Roadshows for 2025 [reminder]
The Department for Education Early Education and Childcare Provider Regional Roadshows for group-based setting leaders and managers.
These roadshows are your opportunity to find out more about current and future policy, delivery and strategy, including the Best Start in Life pillar of the Opportunity Mission and the expansion of childcare to all eligible working parents of children over the age of 9 months, and to share your views, ideas, best practice and the challenges that settings face.

Maths Champions -research sign up [free]
Sign up before 21st May 2025 to take part in this development programme to support early mathematical development. It is an on-line 1-year programme for a ‘Maths Champion’ and a ‘Deputy Maths Champion’. ..to audit current practice and develop an action plan. It is supported by training. Champions need to be level 3 qualified and be working in a setting with six+ 3- and 4-year-olds. There is a video and further information at the link below.

The Twoness of Twos report
This report updates current views 12 years on from the original report findings. You can read the findings of the report [attached] into the views of room leads and practitioners supporting 2-year-olds. Karen, our 2s and under support practitioner, is supporting some targeted settings and having some similar conversations with Solihull practitioners.
