The Jubilee Children’s Storehouse would like to invite you to come and have a look around to find out more about what they do. For further information, please see flyer attached.
Please could you consider donating your lost property items to the Children's Storehouse at Jubilee Church Solihull. We are a local charity that provide clothing for families experiencing hardship and these items would be very helpful to us in the coming year.
Attached is a flyer explaining what we are looking for and where to take your donations.
Thank you so much for your support!
Alison Davey
Storehouse Manager
Following the Local Area inspection of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Inspection by Ofsted and Care Quality Commission in October 2017 the attached letter identifies strengths and areas for improvement. This is a narrative judgement, there is no overall judgement. The local authority has not been asked to produce a written statement of action.
However, an action plan is being written to address issues and the SEND Board met on 10 January to develop this further. Louise Minter is the SSSAB representative on the Board. I will ensure that the action plan is shared once completed.
Thank you for your support during the inspection, especially those schools visited by inspectors, and for the commitment you have to meeting the additional needs of our children and young people.
Phil Leivers
Assistant Director Learning & Skills Division
Thank you to the schools that have completed the Jigsaw survey, details of which were sent out in an earlier issue of Headlines. Please see the attached letter from Jigsaw with an opportunity for those schools completing it to be entered into a prize draw. Those schools that have already completed the survey will automatically be entered.
Natasha Chamberlain
Education Improvement Adviser
All maintained schools and academies with primary age children in Solihull are now using the Jigsaw PSHE resource. An important aspect of this provision is age appropriate relationship and sex education. In order to support best practice and the changes ahead regarding statutory relationships education in primary schools from September 2019, I am delighted to be able to invite you to a free one day course on the 13th March. For further details, please see the flier attached.
