How can we help stop NEGLECT?
April 27, 2023
Have you heard of the NSPCC Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2)
An assessment tool to help identify and measure risk of neglect from the NSPCC
Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2) helps professionals measure the quality of care provided by a parent or carer in meeting their child’s needs, particularly where there are concerns about neglect.
Using the GCP2 assessment tool, professionals score aspects of family life on a scale of one to five. This assessment helps them identify areas where the level of care children receive could be significantly improved.
Watch a short video featuring colleagues from Solihull who use the graded care profile: How we spot neglect (GCP2)
Representing the early years sector we have ‘Neglect Champions‘ who are trained in using the Graded Care Profile 2 and using the framework to support families and children in their settings across Solihull.
