Solihull Super Starts- early years peer review 

Please see the final report from the Local Government Association Final Report Solihull LGA EYs Support Spring 2024. Thankyou to those that contributed to our early years peer review. There will be an online briefing from Ann Van Dyke MBE (the author) with a summary of her findings.

Please join us to celebrate what is working well in Solihull and how the early years community can best support our youngest children and give them a super start.

Level 3 SENCo awards

Congratulations to all 24 SENCos who have successfully enrolled or completed their DfE level 3 SENCo award from Best Practice. 18 SENCos in Solihull have completed the training and 6 have begun their training. Great job and thankyou for your commitment.

We hope that the DfE will commission further future training and more of our talented SENCos can take part.

Professional Development Programme 3

6 Solihull practitioners have now completed their Professional Development Programme training. They join the 22 practitioners who previously completed the DfE training in Solihull in PDP 2. 17 additional practitioners are currently undertaking the training.

If all complete, this will take our total of PDP trained practitioners in Solihull up to 46 early years practitioners. Wow what a lot of expertise!

The children in Solihull are very lucky to be able to play alongside practitioners who are striving to continuously develop their knowledge and skills and support children in the best way they can. Thankyou.
