Updated Multi-Agency Guidance on Threshold Criteria and free NSPCC training

During lockdown there has been a 67% rise in alcohol consumption, criminals are using lockdown to target children and the demand for child abuse imagery and reports to police of obscene online materials have doubled globally (up to 4 million between March and April) and a rise in domestic violence so practitioners need to be aware of the updated Solihull Threshold Guidance as they work alongside children and their families. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing measures, children and young people are spending much more time at home and we know isolation can put some children at a greater risk of abuse and neglect. NSPCC have temporarily made their paid-for online safeguarding course (It’s your call) free for you to access to help keep children safe.
