Norovirus – it’s that time of year!

November 18, 2019

The winter months are traditionally the time when viral outbreaks of diarrhoea and vomiting are most common. Those affected may have diarrhoea or vomiting alone or both diarrhoea and vomiting. It is highly infectious and symptoms may come on rapidly. In order to contain the situation, immediate action is needed.

Please notify Public Health England (PHE) on 0344 225 3560 (option 2, then option 1) as soon as two or more children or staff are affected by sickness and or diarrhoea. They will provide advice on isolation, return to school and infection control.
