Health protection in children and young people settings, including education [link]

This guide for staff on managing cases of infectious diseases in children has recently had some updates. The information is designed for use by staff members in settings to prevent and respond to infection, incidents and outbreaks.

Early Years Inclusion Fund- advance notice.

As we approach our final EYIF panel date in July, we thought we would give you advanced notice that the web page for EYIF will be moving. The current page is on the Solihull local offer website and we will be moving it to the Solgrid/eyc/EEF web site. We will do this as we update it for the extended offer of 9 month +. We will ensure there is a link to the new page from its original page on the local offer site. It won’t move until after the last EYIF panel.

We will also be sending out a link to the 2024 EYIF monitoring forms soon. We expect these to be completed for every setting who has received EYIF additional funding.  The questions asked will be similar to 2023.

Fairwell to Kate O’Shea

Kate is leaving the Early Years Team. We thank her for her support and guidance role within the Early Years Inclusion Support Practitioner team. We will miss her but send her back home to Ireland with all our best wishes.
