Invitation to deputy headteachers’ conference

Following last year’s successful event SSSAB is delighted to invite you to this year’s deputy headteachers’ conference at Ardencote Hotel on Thursday 3 October 2019.

The conference is titled ‘Everyone’s talking about the Curriculum’ and we are pleased to offer one place for each school at no charge. There is a small fee for any additional delegates.

Please see the attached documents for full details and a booking form to be returned by Tuesday 17 September 2019.

It is important that you reserve a place if you wish to attend, to ensure there is sufficient seating and catering.

Energy & Greener Schools Conference – Friday 18 October 2019

The conference held at Sans Souci on Friday 18 October 2019 will feature a range of case studies including, new technologies, low-cost energy efficiency measures and engaging pupils.

Key points are:-

Upskirting (page 10 paragraph 27 and page 89).
Changes to new local arrangements under the new local safeguarding children partnership. An update on this will take place at the Designated Education Safeguarding Lead’s conferences.

DSL conference days – autumn 2019 (all schools)

The annual DSL conference days (8.30 am - 4 pm) are to be held at Sans Souci on Monday 30 September 2019, Monday 7 October 2019, and at Grace Academy on Thursday 24 October 2019.

The annual governor safeguarding conference is at Solihull School on Wednesday 9 October 2019 at 6.30 pm.
