To support the delivery of the National Wraparound Childcare programme, Childcare Works has created a series of recorded information sessions for anyone who is exploring how the National Wraparound Childcare Programme can be delivered in a maintained school or academy trust.

The content is split into seven recorded sessions:

  • Sessions One to Four contain information to help schools determine their role within the programme.
  • Session Five is a series of guides to support setting up of provision.
  • Session Six is about ongoing monitoring of provision.

Solihull provider engagement – would you be a member of our reference group?

We will soon be asking for early years and childcare provider representatives to join our Solihull reference group. We previously invited practitioners to guide our focus group. We would like to develop this as a more structured and consistent reference group. Draft terms of reference attached. Further information to follow. Could you join us as a Solihull representative? We would be grateful if previous members of the focus group would consider reference group membership.

It was lovely to see some Solihull leaders were able to ‘walk and talk’ on 2nd May – walking meetings are now used more frequently with the recognition that this supports both well-being and ‘getting the job done’. Research also shows they encourage creativity. Childminding can be very hard, getting together with a peer and your minded children to walk may be an option for you.
