FAO: Solihull early years and childcare providers

Training Childcare Works and NASEN –

Wrap around training is available through National Association of Special Educational Needs and Childcare Works. This is free to access. The early years team are just pulling together a couple of opportunities to access a summary of this training face-to-face in Solihull. Childminder week – unsung childcare heroes

 10th to 16th May marks the 2025 celebration week- thanks to all our Solihull childminders for helping children and families across the authority.  If you know someone who would be interested in becoming a childminder childcare hero in Solihull, then please do tell them to get in touch. Announcement: Department for Education to develop free early years safeguarding online training.

DfE have announced that they will be developing an online safeguarding training package for early years providers. This training, which will cover the safeguarding training annex set to be introduced in September 2025, will be free for all early years educators to access. We expect this training to be available Spring 2026, and we will provide further details, including how the training will be accessed closer to launch. [DfE announcement]
