Operation Encompass
Watch the short information video below to find out more about Operation Encompass and how you will be able to sign up to be an Operation Encompass setting. This introductory briefing is led by Mark Teago from West Midlands Police. Further information will be available soon. https://sway.office.com/Qm2uXlZvo5S9kMUE?ref=Link.
Dingley’s Promise Training
We will soon have a new module for Inclusion Training- The Child’s Voice. This will be a great addition to the suite of modules already available. If you get the chance over the summer, you may want to register and do the Inclusion module or the Behaviour module of the training. In Solihull we have the modules available as free training for the next few years. We hope all Solihull practitioners working in Early Years will complete the Inclusion module. Every year new modules will be made available. Further information is here https://www.solgrid.org.uk/eyc/training/

Oral health and hygiene
Oral health – Help for early years providers – GOV.UK (education.gov.uk)
Recent news from BBC highlights the importance of oral health and dental care promotion. Everything we can do to promote this curriculum area, and stop unnecessary pain and dental procedures, is so valuable. Have a look at the resources listed on DfE website. Good oral health can also support clear speech and there is free DfE training on the prime areas here

For those of you that have finished for the summer, enjoy your break. We hope you can join in with some of the special events taking place in Solihull over the summer. We plan to get out to see many of the Ofsted registered Holiday Play Schemes that we don’t visit already as part of our Setting Improvement Approach visits. Give us a call if we haven’t already contacted you.
