FREE Session to Introduce Teaching for Mastery.

The Central Maths Hub are pleased to announce that this FREE event will be held throughout the year to support Secondary colleagues.
These practical and hands-on sessions are an introduction to Teaching Maths for Mastery in secondary schools. We will look at the Five Big Ideas of Teaching for Mastery and will focus on the key ideas of:

• procedural and conceptual variation
• mathematical thinking
• representation and structure

The Sustainable Development Team is looking for schools to create 3D art to be displayed in shop windows and the Library in Solihull Town Centre for the Fairtrade Trail. The trail sheets and maps will be available over the February half term and the following week. This year’s theme is ‘Tea’, a resource pack is available for schools from charlotte.oliver@solihull.gov.uk Art work must be finished by the 13^th February 2019 and can be collected from schools.
