This one day introductory course, led by  Lisa Sabotig – Educational Psychologist  is suitable for anyone working with children, young people, families and staff who experience emotional wellbeing or mental health difficulties.

Emotion regulation skills involve the identification of emotions, understanding the role emotions play and assisting those we work with to tolerate and manage emotions.

Participants will be introduced to emotional regulation and frameworks, approaches, strategies and techniques to promote these skills.  Training include hand-outs, discussion and practice opportunities with guidance on the use of assessment, understandings of, and interventions for emotion regulation.

This course will be running on 2 separate occasions

Friday, May 11th, 9.00am – 4.00pm at Langley Secondary School

or

Friday, June 8th, 9.30am – 3.45pm at Greswold Primary School

The cost is £90 per member of staff (Lunch provided)

KiVa is an innovative school-based, anti-bullying program which has been developed using extensive research on bullying and its mechanisms. KiVa is a program designed for schools to prevent and tackle bullying swiftly and effectively.

The aims of the sessions are to train pupils to offer support to their peers, and to help them in the creation and delivery of campaigns within school that reduce the stigma and discrimination around mental health.
