Childnet International has launched a film competition for children and young people aged 7-18 to share their understanding of online safety issues. The competition is open to UK primary and secondary schools and youth organisations. The closing date is 11 June 2018.

Clean air day is coming up and this is a great chance to raise awareness in the classroom of the issues that we are facing locally and nationally around air quality especially if you are thinking of taking up the offer of diffusion tube monitoring.

There is a schools toolkit on the clean air day website, link below, that will provide you with useful activities and tips for how you and pupils can get involved.

West Midlands Police are now offering a further layer of training from their Counter Terrorism Team aimed at key selected members of teaching staff.  This is Act Awareness and is the national counter terrorism awareness initiative produced by NaCTSO to protect our cities and communities from the threat of terrorism. The annual DSL conference days (8.30 am – 4 pm) are to be held at Sans Souci on Monday 30 September 2019, Monday 7 October 2019, and at Grace Academy on Thursday 24 October 2019.

The annual governor safeguarding conference is at Solihull School on Wednesday 9 October 2019 at 6.30 pm.
