Dear Head Teacher/SENCO

Many thanks to those of you who have reported part-time timetables using the paperwork provided.

There remain a number of schools that have not yet responded though. As I have indicated previously, OFSTED are focussing on the arrangements that local authorities have in relation to part-time time-tables and the lack of a suitable process is likely to contribute towards a, ‘requires improvement’ finding in a school OFSTED inspection.

A deadline date of 15 June 2019 was provided. I am extending this to the 30 June 2019 for those schools who have not yet been able to respond. Please can you give some priority to this over the next week or two?

PLEASE REMEMBER – If you do not have any pupils on a PTTT, it is important that you provide a nil return to indicate this.

Kind Regards

Ann Lowe
Head of Service

The local authority is also expecting Ofsted any time so PLEASE can you prioritise this as urgent?

The final deadline date is now 4pm on Wednesday 10 July 2019.

The paperwork can be found here.

This good practice example shows how Oak Cottage primary school developed a body image programme with the support of the local authority personal, social and health education (PSHE) team and put it into place following the analysis of pupils’ responses.

Message from Ofsted regarding primary inspection data summary reports

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 primary inspection data summary reports (IDSR) have been updated with revised key stage 2 data, final 2019 EYFS and data for disadvantaged pupils. They are available through our new Ofsted IDSR service https://idsr.gcs501.gcfb.co.uk.

This is linked to in DfE’s Analyse School Performance (ASP) https://www.analyse-school-performance.service.gov.uk. When logged into ASP, click on ‘All reports’ and then ‘Ofsted inspection data summary reports’.

Please ensure you download the latest version dated 27 January 2020 for any school that has a primary.

Where applicable, the IDSRs hold:

• final 2019 EYFS
• revised 2019 KS2
• data for disadvantaged pupils
• two term absence
• provisional 2019 KS5, KS4, KS1, phonics and context data.

We have published a new and improved guidance document for the IDSR. This includes example reports and supporting data tables used for the 2019 IDSR which show national figures and quintile boundaries used to determine whether areas of interest sentences are triggered.

Newly added links are now located throughout the IDSR, which take you directly to the relevant section of the full guidance which is located here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/school-inspection-data-summary-report-idsr-guide
