Could you please forward this information to your EYFS Reception teachers.

Places are still available on Monday 5th February, 1.00 – 3.30pm or Friday 9th February, 1.00 – 3.30pm. Both sessions will be held at Sans Souci.

Please note that the session on the morning of 9th February has been cancelled.

Audience: Teachers responsible for completing the EYFS Profile assessment and practitioners working with reception age children.

Delegates should bring along examples of evidence for children working at ELG to share and moderate with other reception class teachers and practitioners.

1 place per school is free of charge. Additional places are charged at £35.

Early years SENCo briefings with a behaviour focus are planned for Friday 25 October 2019 at Sans Souci. School and setting leads or SENCos are invited to attend. There is a subsidised charge of £20 with booking via inset@solihull.gov.uk.

Early years leads’ network meetings are planned for Wednesday 11 December 2019 (9am-noon) or Thursday 12 December 2019 (1pm-4pm) at Sans Souci (£70).

We hope to know more about the proposed new early learning goals and future profile arrangements by these dates. The current EYFSP remains statutory for this year. Schools are invited to opt in to early years visits with a proposed personal development and behaviours focus for 2019/20. Earlier this year Solihull local authority was successful in its bid for additional funding to support the take up of 30 hours by early education funded children. We have been able to book Julie Revels to deliver EYFS SEND training in June. Julie has supported the development of the NASEN EY SEND training materials and has a vast range of experience as a trainer and consultant specialising in inclusion in the early years. The 2019 early years foundation stage: assessment and reporting arrangements (ARA) has now been released along with the EYFSP statistics for the national early years foundation stage profile results: 2017 to 2018. LA opportunities for EYFSP moderation will be available in autumn and spring terms. This term the focus will be PSE and will take place at Sans Souci 22/23rd November 2018 booking through inset@solihull.gov.uk. The EYFSP data will be explored at EY Leaders and Managers on Friday 9th November 2018. For further information, please see below.
