A one day conference for Secondary NQT practitioners in Solihull.

This day will incorporate a number of key sessions with a on wellbeing and mindfulness, covering topics such as:

  • “Every child is one adult away from a success story”
  • “Children do not care what you know until they know that you care”
  • “Just a thought”

as well as opportunities for networking with Secondary NQT’s across Solihull.

In last week’s Head Lines we shared details with you of events to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. We are now able to provide further details regarding an invitation from Solihull School and Remembering Srebrenica to all schools with secondary age children within the borough to attend a very special event. On the 26th January they will be hosting the British premiere of the highly acclaimed documentary Condemned to Remember. For details of how to book on this event, please see letter below.

Arrangements for the termly collection of school’s Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Phonics data through SIMS.

Information about a one day training course for all schools on Resilience, led by an Educational Psychologist.

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace.

Attendees will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.

What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent HSE changes.
