Solihull Council and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have launched a new website about services and support available locally for children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND, and their families.

From social care, community health services and education to preparing for adulthood, social activities and employment, the ‘Solihull Local Offer’ provides a whole host of useful information about the wide range of services people can access and the support they are entitled to. For more information, please visit the website below.

Following the Local Area inspection of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Inspection by Ofsted and Care Quality Commission in October 2017 the attached letter identifies strengths and areas for improvement. This is a narrative judgement, there is no overall judgement. The local authority has not been asked to produce a written statement of action.

However, an action plan is being written to address issues and the SEND Board met on 10 January to develop this further. Louise Minter is the SSSAB representative on the Board. I will ensure that the action plan is shared once completed.

Thank you for your support during the inspection, especially those schools visited by inspectors, and for the commitment you have to meeting the additional needs of our children and young people.
