The revised Keeping Children Safe in Education (2018) is statutory from 3rd September 2018. Please see Link 1 below.
We have revised the child protection policy, safeguarding policy and behaviour policy to reflect the changes; these will be uploaded onto the new safeguarding website which is currently being developed by the IT team. They should be available by the end of the week at the link below (Link 2). The slide attached below presents a site map of the new website.
The managing allegations policy and the safer recruitment policy have been updated and will be presented to the union policy group during September; they will then be made available. The whistleblowing and code of conduct policies remain unchanged.
The education safeguarding strategy has now been finalised and will be uploaded to the safeguarding website. This sets out how we will work with all Solihull schools on safeguarding in education.
