West Midlands Police are now offering a further layer of training from their Counter Terrorism Team aimed at key selected members of teaching staff. This is Act Awareness and is the national counter terrorism awareness initiative produced by NaCTSO to protect our cities and communities from the threat of terrorism. Please see latest safeguarding checks letter for schools attached below. The main change is the notification that ICT Services staff working in schools have been subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and a barred list checked, so can work unsupervised.
