This session will equip personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) leads to prepare for statutory RSE through auditing their subject area.

Staff delivering RSE will increase their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and the changes that are enshrined in law from 2020. There will be updates on a range of sexual health issues, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring that teaching meets the needs of learners. Sessions will be delivered by staff from Umbrella, Loud Mouth, Jigsaw PSHE and the Solihull school improvement team.

Staff are able to opt into relevant sessions (see attached agenda) or attend for the whole day (lunch provided).

Please email inset@solihull.gov.uk  to book your free places. The session will take place on June 18, 2019 at Sans Souci training centre, 9am – 4pm.

A letter from Phil Leivers, Assistant Director, regarding the forthcoming session exploring the implications of the statutory requirement for relationships and sex education to be taught in all schools from 2020 is available below.
