The Eat Well Move More Team are on hand to offer support and guidance to schools who would like to set up the Daily Mile initiative. The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances.

Working with Solihull CCG, the Council has commissioned a new resource in Solihull to support children and young people aged 11-25 years with their emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

Using external sports coaches – the Coaching in Primary Schools Toolkit has been developed by a range of experts in PE and sport to provide useful advice on how to recruit and deploy external coaches in primary schools effectively.

Counter Terrorism Policing in collaboration with the PSHE Association and Girlguiding have produced a Run, Hide, Tell resource pack for teachers to use to inform 11-16 year olds on how best to react to a gun or knife terror attack. The resource includes training films, lesson plans for key stage 3 and key stage 4 as well as teacher guidance on how to deliver this material confidently and safety.
