The Autumn moderation for primary mathematics will be taking place in November. Please find the relevant paperwork below for those attending.

Please note that all 3 sessions are now FULL.

Please see details attached below of the Solihull Partnership CPD programme and NQT programme for the autumn term.

Through consultation with Solihull schools’ strategic accountability board (SSSAB) we are issuing a new data sharing agreement to all schools.

The current data sharing agreement only allows the data sharing early where it is due to be in the public domain. The revised agreement would allow the local authority to share appropriate data with the Solihull schools’ teaching alliance, earlier, when it becomes available in July.  This would enable the alliance to target support to schools in a timelier manner.

This proposal has gone to SSSAB and it is in full support of the new agreement. Please read through the attached agreement and if you are satisfied, sign it and send it to edperfdata@solihull.gov.uk.

We can then implement the new arrangements for the 2019 results, provided we receive the signed agreements by the end of June 2019.

Early years SENCo briefings with a behaviour focus are planned for Friday 25 October 2019 at Sans Souci. School and setting leads or SENCos are invited to attend. There is a subsidised charge of £20 with booking via inset@solihull.gov.uk.

Early years leads’ network meetings are planned for Wednesday 11 December 2019 (9am-noon) or Thursday 12 December 2019 (1pm-4pm) at Sans Souci (£70).

We hope to know more about the proposed new early learning goals and future profile arrangements by these dates. The current EYFSP remains statutory for this year. Schools are invited to opt in to early years visits with a proposed personal development and behaviours focus for 2019/20. Further information is available on the solgrid early years and childcare website and solgrid extranet.

DfE have issued an invitation to heads of schools to offer them the opportunity to voluntarily participate as an early adopter of the revised EYFS framework in academic year 2020/2021. They are asking schools to confirm participation at this early stage (by 7 February) to prepare for early adoption, once final policy decisions have been made.

We have decided to cancel the head reacher early years briefing, 9 March, and attach some reflections for your consideration and to help with your decision-making.

Schools will need to respond to the DfE invitation before the planned March meeting. Early years leaders and managers meetings (spring 2020) will explore the way forward and share arrangements to manage the change. Apologies for the cancellation, but this invitation has been issued ahead of the spring consultation response.
