Science events for primary schools

The Central Midlands Science Learning Partnership, which delivers science CPD at primary, secondary and FE level across the Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire local authority areas is holding an event for strategic partners, facilitators and interested parties on Thursday 16 May 2019 from 15.00-17.00 at Bishop Challoner Catholic College.

At the meeting they would like to explain the vision for the Science Learning Partnership going forward, discuss their plans for the forthcoming year, and make decisions about CPD which will be delivered and facilitated. If you would like to attend this please select this link https://www.stem.org.uk/cpd/452240/science-learning-partnership.

On Thursday 23 May 2019, Earthwatch Institute is delivering a Discover Earth Hub Day (13.00-16:00). The session will take place in north Solihull at the Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst site, using their outdoor education centre, including their pond zone. The address is TGA Kingshurst, Cooks Lane, Birmingham, B37 6NU.

The afternoon will be an engaging CPD training opportunity offering the tools and resources which make it easy for all teachers and educators to take learning outside and enable their students to participate in valuable citizen science. The training and resources will work across the curriculum and connect to the wider world through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Please email Sarah Lardner: slardner@solihull.gov.uk to book places on the training.
