St Mary’s Parish Church
Church lies within ancient foundation of Lady Katherine Leveson. Founded by the Knights Templar in 1146 and was their headquarters for almost 200 years. The preceptory, rare example
of early timber building, still stands next to Church. Church occupies central site in foundation which also includes sheltered
accommodation for the elderly, in early C18th building.
The Church welcomes visitors and a speaker could be arranged to talk to pupils.
