Solihull Soroptimist International Survey

‘Period poverty’ refers to having a lack of access to sanitary products due to financial constraints. A survey by Plan International UK published in October 2017 found that 10% of girls have been unable to afford sanitary products with 7% forced to skip school during their period.  This equates to more than 137,700 girls missing school in the last year.

Soroptimist International Solihull & District would like to find out more about the extent of this issue in Solihull and look at how they can support in eradicating the issue. Please find more details below.
