Having the right information at the right time can make all the difference when you’re looking after someone. Every day 6,000 people become carers but often it’s not something we’ve planned for.

Carers Rights day is an annual event and this year it is on Friday 30 November. The key aims are to help carers in their local community know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.

The Carers Trust Solihull will be holding sessions at the Core in Solihull and the Library in Chelmsley Wood.  Earlier in the week there’s an event for young carers to refresh the council promise to them, so they know what they can expect from a wide range of services.

Please encourage informal carers to book into the sessions, these may be people you are working with, colleagues or even you.

Please see the attached flyer for more details or any other questions please contact Janice Price in Commissioning jprice@solihull.gov.uk or 0121 704 6686.
