PSHE

Sort By: TitleDate posted

It is hard to believe that almost a year has gone by since the introduction of Jigsaw PSHE across Solihull. Please see below to access a letter from Angela Milliken, the Jigsaw representative who has been supporting our schools.

Publication subject:

The PSHE Association have recently been involved in the development of the new UKCCIS (UK Council for Child Internet Safety) framework, alongside online safety experts including CEOP, the NSPCC and Barnardo’s. The Education for a Connected World framework will help PSHE teachers review their curriculum to ensure pupils are prepared to understand and handle online risks.

All maintained schools and academies with primary age children in Solihull are now using the Jigsaw PSHE resource. An important aspect of this provision is age appropriate relationship and sex education. In order to support best practice and the changes ahead regarding statutory relationships education in primary schools from September 2019, I am delighted to be able to invite you to a free one day course on the 13th March. For further details, please see the flier attached.
