Schools’ HR provides a comprehensive professional and customer focussed support service to Headteachers, School Leaders and Governors.

  • The service covers: Development of employment policy, procedures and practice in response to changes in law, Department of Education requirements, Council initiatives and good practice.
  • Administrative services associated with Contracts of Employment, Terms and Conditions and payroll instructions.
  • Advice, guidance and support on a wide range of employment issues.
    Provision of real-time management information through Oracle Self-Service and assistance in completion of the School Staff Census.
  • Undertaking the Council’s statutory duties in relation to the employment of school-based staff.
  • Further details and the standards you can expect from our services can be found in the HR Service Level Agreement  (SLA). We involve all of our customers on an annual basis in reviewing our performance against the SLA. This informs future service delivery to meet our customer’s needs.
