Greener schools awards webinar

Schools can find out how to apply for this year’s Greener schools awards at a free webinar hosted by Solihull Council on Tuesday April 30, from 3.45pm to 4.30pm.

The awards challenge children and staff to learn about the environment locally and globally and recognises their excellent contribution to building sustainably and helping the environment.

The free webinar will provide detail on:

  • the three levels of the award you can apply to
  • what evidence you will need to apply
  • what resources are available to support your school’s activities
  • examples of past applications and activities

The Greener school awards are hosted by Solihull Council and are free for all schools to apply.

The deadline to apply for this year’s awards is Monday July 22.

All schools entering the awards receive feedback from Solihull Council and certificates to celebrate their achievements, while award winners also receive handmade wooden plaques.

The greener Solihull schools awards challenge children and staff to learn about the environment locally and globally, and make their school more eco-friendly. A leaflet, awards pack and application can be downloaded. We also encourage schools to follow the Eco-Schools Programme.
